Returns and Refund Policy

Our products can be returned within 30 days of the original purchase of the product.
To be eligible for a return, please make sure that:

  • The product was purchased in the last 30 days
  • The product is in its original packaging
  • The product isn’t used or damaged
  • You have the proof of purchase
  • You obtained a Return Merchandise Number (RMN) from us
  • In the case of security cameras, the cameras must not have been mounted

Products that do not meet these criteria in some cases can still be returned but may require a restocking fee.

To obtain a Return Merchandise Number (RMN), contact us:

Provide us with:

  • Order number
  • Product Number
  • Serial Number of product if available
  • a description of the reason for the return

Returns Past 30 days

Returns requested beyond 30 days will be considered on a case by case basis and depend on the warranty terms of the product. If a return is accepted we will exchange the returned product or issue a credit to your account. If the product no longer is available, we reserve the right to issue a similar or better product in exchange.

Send the product with its original packing including a shipping box, proof of purchase, and the RMA number within the box. Further instructions may be given at time of RMA request.
Each return will be unique. For this reason we will provide a ship to address for all RMAs once they have been issued.

Shipping charges

If original purchase included a shipping cost, this will not be refunded.
You are responsible for paying the costs of shipping and for the risk of loss of or damage to the product during shipping to Wrightwood Surveillance.

Damaged items

If you received a damaged product, please notify us immediately for assistance.

Sale items

Sale items can be refunded unless specified as a “final sale”, “no returns”, or other specifications listed on the product page during a sale.

Digital products

We do not issue refunds for digital products once the order is confirmed and the product is sent.
We recommend contacting us for assistance if you experience any issues receiving or downloading our products.

Advanced Replacements

We understand that time is critical so if an advanced replacement is required please request this in your RMA request.
In most cases we will ask for you to purchase the correct item or replacement item like a normal order and we will expedite the processing for your.


Once the returned item has been received and inspected to meet the requirements outlined above we will initiate a refund for the order amount minus any shipping charges within 5 business days. Refunds will be issued to the same payment source provided during the original order.

International orders may be charged a processing fee for a returned order or item.

Warranty Policy

Warranty for each product will be indicated on the product page itself. If no warranty is specified, Wrightwood Surveillance will provide a 1 year warranty. Many products will display a warranty expiration or countdown in your account under the details of your order for orders placed after 11/24/2015. This date is only a reference to help keep track of warranty time left for a product. Ultimately warranty terms and length provided by the Manufacture will be set by the Manufacture. Please refer to their site for full warranty details of a product. If you see any discrepancy between our site and the Manufacture site, the Manufacture site will take precedance. Please contact us to let us know if you see a discrepancy.

Most of our products carry a manufacture warranty. If you encounter an issue with a product and require assistance in fulfilling a warranty request, you may contact us:

We will work with you and the manufacture to make sure your product is handled properly. In most cases we will want to discuss with you the problems you’re having with the device and we will try to fix any issues remotely. If the product is deemed to be defective we can initiate an RMA.

Warranties before 11/22/2015:
Before the date of 11/22/2015 many of the products sold by Wrightwood Surveillance had anywhere from a 3 to 12 month warranty. The specific term was specified on the product page itself.
Hikvision product warranties before this date was provided by Wrightwood Surveillance. After this date, the product page will specify if the particular camera listed will have a Hikvision warranty or a Wrightwood Surveillance warranty.

Hikvision Brown Box Multi-Language cameras come with a 6 Month warranty provided by Wrightwood Surveillance. This warranty does not cover firmware updates. Any firmware updates on these cameras will not be covered.
